The School of Art was established in Swindon in 1882 and is the oldest specialist school of art in the south west of England.

The School has a reputation for innovation in the study of art and design, exemplified by two unique programmes; our Masters Degree in Archaeological Illustration (which benefits from the fact both The National Trust and English Heritage are based in Swindon) and our BA (Hons) degree in Sequential and Narrative Illustration.
