final shows 2011
Swindon College School of Art Final Shows, commence Thursday 9th June 2011, the Mulberry Building, Kembrey Park, Swindon and carry on at Swindon College, North Star Avenue.
Over forty students showcased their talents at the Graduate Show for Swindon College School of Art students 2011 - at the Mulberry Building, Kembrey Park.
This venue was chosen for the calibre of the building; light, airy and highly professional, reflecting the high quality of work on display.
Postgraduate & Undergraduate Show runs until Monday 13th June 10.00 - 4.00pm
The first exhibition of work on display will be by the degree and masters level students who are studing on the BA (Hons) Graphic Design, BA (Hons) Fine Art: Drawing for Fine Art Practice, BA (Hons) Illustration (Narrative and Sequential), HND Photography programmes.
Postgraduate work will be represented by the MA / PG Dip Archaeological Illustration course.
Greg Rendell, School of Art Deputy Curriculum Manager said: "As a venue the Mulberry Building is an excellent showcase for our graduate students. Kembrey Park and Swindon College School of Art are two of Swindon's 'best kept secrets' and we take this opportunity to display a side of Swindon that is not always seen - contemporary creativity!
The Graduate Show opened with a very successful Private View on Wednesday 6th June for employers and the local artistic and creative community. Approximately five hundred people attended the event.

Thursday 9th June 10.00 - 8.00pm
Friday 10th June 10.00 - 8.00pm
Saturday 11th June 11.00 - 4.00pm
Monday 13th June 10.00 - 4.00pm
(show closes at 4.00pm)

Selected students from the Graphic Design and Sequential Illustration degree courses will be showing work as part of New Designers 2011, at the Business Design Centre, Islington.
We'll be on stand VC24 from the 6th - 9th July. If you're in London, we'd love to see you there.

The Foundation/Access Show
Students who study on the Art and Design Foundation Studies Diploma and the Access to Art and Design programmes are next to showcase their artwork.
Their work ranges from ceramics, graphic design and illustration to fine art, textiles/fashion and photography.
The show will open with a Private View on
Friday 17th June, for friends and family.
The First Diploma and National Diploma Shows
Students who study on the Art and Design First Diplomas and National Diplomas display their work along the glass-walled avenue at our North Star campus.
The artwork ranges from the National Diplomas in: Art & Design, Photography and Media Production. The Art & Design First Diploma and the Introductory Diploma courses will also be represented.
The show opens with a Private View on Monday 4th July, for friends and family.
